Staff Geophysicist (Full Time, On Site) 

Please note that this position is for those in the geophysics field. 

Job Description:

As a Sales/Support Specialist at AGI, you will provide technical support to our clients, identify new business opportunities, and promote/sell our geophysical solutions. Your primary focus will be building relationships with customers and working with them to identify their equipment needs, provide geotechnical guidance and support,  and ensure they are satisfied with our products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients to understand their subsurface survey needs and provide technical guidance and equipment recommendations.
  • Promote our electrical geophysical surveying products to new and existing clients to increase sales and customer retention
  • Prepare pricing quotes
  • Build and nurture client relationships throughout the entire sales process, from invoicing to shipment and new instrument onboarding.
  • Collaborate with our marketing team to develop and execute sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with our production team to communicate order/repair status updates to clients.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to stay current on industry trends and promote our products and services to our global audience.
  • Generate reports and analytics to measure the effectiveness of sales and marketing strategies.
  • Uphold our company values of integrity, quality, and customer service.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's (with at least five years experience) or higher degree in Geophysics.
  • Expert understanding of electrical geophysics and the ability to communicate technical information to clients via phone, email, webinars, and in-person seminars.
  • Experience using the SuperSting instrument, our electrical resistivity imaging (ERI) system.
  • Experience using EarthImager inversion software or similar software.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Experience with GSuite.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Skills:

We prefer candidates to have the skills listed below. However, we will train candidates with an exemplary understanding of geophysics and electrical surveying methods.

  • Field experience across several applications & industries using AGI equipment
  • Experience with CRM and Invoicing web apps
  • Experience hosting Zoom calls and webinars
  • Equipment rental/shipping experience
  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual

Support Geophysicist (Full Time, On Site)

Please note that this position is for those in the geophysics field. 

Job description:

AGI is looking for candidates with a geophysics background—specifically those with experience with resistivity (ERT) methods—to fill the role of Support Geophysicist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to customers in the field and assisting with equipment selection, troubleshooting, and training. The candidate should have experience with ERI/ERT surveying, instrumentation, and data processing, as well as solid communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers—which may include site visits, phone support, email communication, and text chat support.
  • Assist customers with equipment selection and provide recommendations based on project requirements and constraints.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide customer solutions, including repairs and replacements as necessary.
  • Train customers on equipment operation, software, and data processing via webinars and seminars.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including sales, engineering, production, and marketing, to ensure customer satisfaction and product improvement.
  • Contribute to developing technical documentation, including user manuals, training materials, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and share knowledge with customers and team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's (with at least two years of field experience using the ERI method) or higher degree in Geophysics.
  • Two or more years of experience using AGI Electrical Resistivity hardware and inversion software
  • Expert understanding of Maxwell’s Equations and Geophysics and how they are used in electrical methods and the ability to clearly communicate technical information.
  • Experience with customer support and a proven track record of stellar customer service
  • Must be detail-oriented, process-oriented, and have strong problem-solving skills
  • Possible domestic and international travel may be required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Electronics Repair Technician (Full Time, On Site)

Job description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Repair Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide range of electronic instrumentation, including repairing traces on printed circuit boards (PCBs). This position requires a strong understanding of electronics principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic instrumentation to identify faults and determine the appropriate repair solutions.
  • Perform repairs on electronic equipment, including component-level repairs and PCB trace repairs if repairable.
  • Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to assess the functionality of electronic devices.
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to aid in troubleshooting and repair processes.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve complex technical issues and improve product performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, including documenting the diagnostic process, repair actions, and parts used.
  • Ensure that all repairs are completed per company standards and industry best practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Continuously update technical knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics repair, including experience with PCB trace repairs.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuits, and testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering equipment, and other electronic test and repair tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and technical documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional customer service.
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA as a green card holder or US citizen
