Seminar
Invitation
AGI hosts three separate seminars many times a year. The Resistivity Imaging Seminar covers all aspects of
electrical resistivity imaging methods. The Advanced Resistivity Imaging Seminar focuses on the
resistivity imaging theory, survey design, in-depth understanding of resistivity
imaging methods and hands-on practice of resistivity data processing. The new
Marine Resistivity Imaging Seminar focuses on the
continuous resistivity profiling (CRP)with an electrode streamer on the water, and
underwater resistivity imaging with a bottom cable.

Advanced Resistivity Imaging
Seminar
AGI invites you to attend a two-day seminar on advanced resistivity imaging.
This short course is intended for those professionals currently involved in
electrical resistivity imaging surveys and those seeking in-depth understanding of
1D, 2D, 3D and 4D resistivity imaging methods. This seminar will cover some
theoretical aspects of forward modeling and inversion, 2D and 3D survey design
issues, and hands-on practice on how to process surface data, borehole data,
underwater data, continuous resistivity profiling (CRP) data, 3D data, time-lapse
monitoring data. The short course in Austin, Texas will be taught primarily by
Dr. Xianjin Yang, the developer of EarthImager resistivity
inversion programs.
We recommend that you bring your own laptop PC running Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista
to the seminar. AGI will provide EarthImager dongles (hardware keys) for data
processing exercises during the seminar. For those without a laptop, please contact
us as early as possible so that we can make appropriate arrangement for you.

Feedback of Seminar
Participants
September seminar participants

Here are some of the comments from the course evaluation sheets from
the seminar participants:
- "I was very pleased with the instructors' responses to questions. Their
responses were thorough and complete. Other training courses often leave
you with more questions because they do not completely asnwer your first
question."
- "Immediately applicable to my work."
- "The ability to respond to any given question in the related field.
Friendlyness."
- "Knowledge of the instructor about equipment, software and examples.
Very good! Congratulations."
- "I've never been in other training courses but I think this course was
ecellent."
