This is a collection of various cases where the 2D resistivity imaging method pioneered by

Florida Marine Park Water Intake Survey
A resistivity imaging survey was performed by N.S. Nettles & Associates, to be used for design of two
horizontal water well intakes for the Florida Oceanographic Society's marine park.
This survey used the AGI SuperSting R8 and Earthimager inversion software.

Canal bottom investigation with towed electrodes
The SuperSting R8 Marine has been used to collect data from an electrode array towed
behind a boat. The task was to detrmine the limestone quality and porosity below a seafront
canal system in Florida.

Lake resistivity survey using towed electrodes.
A marine version of the SuperSting has been used to collect data from an electrode array towed
behind a boat. The SuperSting collects and stores data from 8 depth levels for each current
injection. The current injection cycle is 3 seconds. The SuperSting is connected to a GPS and
continuously records the position of the boat during the survey.

Marine bottom resistivity survey.
The bottom layering in a Florida strait was investigated using resistivity imaging prior to construction
of a utility tunnel.

The geophysical instruments used in the resistivity imaging cases described here are the
AGI SuperSting R8/IP
earth resistivity meter and the AGI Sting R1
earth resistivity meter together with the
AGI Swift
multi electrode cables and smart switches.
These make up systems with extremely fast data acquisition in the field.
Today the single-channel Sting R1 has been replaced by the even faster and more accurate instrument:
SuperSting R8/IP
The interpretation of data like this can be done using the 2D inversion program
AGI EarthImager 2D available from AGI.
